Pregnancy Care

I deliver at Kareena Private Hospital, St.George Private Hospital, and St. George Public Hospital. From the time of your first appointment I undertake responsibility for you and your pregnancy, including your postnatal visit after the baby is born. This care consists of

• 10 to 12 antenatal visits
  (every 4 weeks until 28 weeks, then fortnightly until 36 weeks, then weekly until birth)
• Care during your labour
• Daily visits on the postnatal ward
• Postnatal check at 6 weeks

"Your first visit should be between 8 and 10 weeks of pregnancy and will include a medical history, dating ultrasound, and discussing all issues related to your pregnancy. I will also discuss important screening tests such as a Nuchal Translucency Scan(NT) and screening for chromosome disorders in the baby if necessary. "
